Sweet Baby Girl

This is my go to Baby Girl card at the moment, I don't believe in reinventing the wheel if you don't need to. I am from a very large family and there seem to be lots of new additions lately and lots of cards to make to celebrate.

Not much else to say except welcome to the family lol.

Lawn Fawn Piñata

Even thought the fringe and piñata are from different companies they are a match made in candy heaven.

I did have the piñata on a slider but the glue hadn't dried properly and it got stuck so rather than destroy the card I just stuck it in place. Bit of a waste of two layers of foam tape but it still looks ok.

Monster Fun

This set by Gerda Steiner Designs is fabulous for masculine cards, be it for little or big boys it will always deliver a smile.

To add to the fun I made this guy on an action wobble, my original idea was to make it look like the wobbling made him sick but I don't think thats how it ended up thankfully lol.

Hooray Panda

Sometimes bam you get an idea and the card almost makes itself, this happened here. I was trying to use "NBUS" or Never before used schtuff as coined by the lovely Darnell and had it all laid out on my desk and next thing I know a made card lol.

I know it should have been a shaker card but it looked more for a boy and i'm not sure they would like a card filled with sequins. Need to find something like sequin stars or similar.

Ingredients
Image: "spring short stack" Stampendous
Card: "navy" Limetree Crafts
Dies: "hooray shaker" from Clearly Besotted and Blueprints 15 from MFT
Paper: "avocado soup" Jellybean soup.

Perk Me Up

I think the title of this post worked as I made not one but two cards this time. I used the same layout, matching papers and the same image and they came together really quickly too.

As my mojo is missing I have been looking at the pile of stamped images on my desk and trying to make them into cards, I must have coloured these to go cups about two years ago and now they are finally made into cards. I love to colour and if I have spare time that is what I do but somehow they never seem to get made into cards so I decided to remedy this. I enjoyed turning the 30 day challenge items into cards so thought how about I look at my huge pile of coloured images and do the same.

The layout and composition is glaringly simple but hopefully it works. Again I think for small images this blueprint combo highlights them so effectively and you get a lot of interest for very little work.

Paper: "coffee talk" Nit Wit Collections
Card: "berrylicious" MFT

Colour, Colour, Colour Chameleon

I know thats not the right words but I bet you have the tune in your head, well if you were born before the eighties of course. I am going to show my age now but there was an advert with a chameleon on a tree stump and then they sold a phone that played the song instead of ringing.... any guesses who had/has one of these lol

Enough with the distractions on with the card. First thing some might notice is the spelling of "colour" well this card is for an american friend and they spell it differently and luckily this Clearly Besotted set has both versions.

Not much I can say about this card, I used the striped sentiment cover up again, I coloured the stripes with copics again, although this one is bright rainbow, and I added an image in the sentiment strip again. This is a go to design and one I often use when my mojo is missing, before you ask it is still missing but today was a rare glimmer of hope as this card came out exactly as I hoped.

Ingredients
Image and sentiment : "colour chameleon" Clearly Besotted
Dies: "striped sentiment strip" cover-up from MFT
Ink: "red hot" MFT hybrid

Birthday Message Bears

I seem to be harking back to the start of my crafting journey more and more recently, I wanted these bears when they were only available in wood but I was useless at stamping so I knew they would sit in a draw unloved.

Ok so how have I used them.....well.....Penny Black just released them in clear. I do struggle to find penny black in the UK my main supplier closed last year and the other suppliers don't tend to carry the full range, I am hoping that changes but I am not looking to open a store myself lol.

Onto the card, I had an idea after seeing a card made with keys by the MFT design team and I have made a card with white on white die cuts before so I thought I could marry the two together. It actually worked better than I hoped and I am pleased with the results so maybe I should make more lol.

Ingredients
Image: "birthday bears" Penny Black
Dies: Blueprints 29 and "cause for celebration" both MFT and Alphabet soup from Memory Box
Card: "blu raspberrry" MFT
