Fashion Sense

I haven't really crafted for a while and all of the posts since the beginning of December have been scheduled so it wasn't easy making this card but I wanted to use some of my new stash.

I ordered during Papertrey inks Stamp-a-faire event in August and I got this stamp set free, its a full size set with stunning sentiments and a very vogue like lady and dress ensemble so I had to use her.

Lovely lady which is a fitting name for the ink I used which is also new, as are most of the other elements on this card except the basic edges and blueprints, well some aren't new to the market just to me.

Im hoping that this card will kick start my mojo as I have lots to make for upcoming birthdays.

Card: "lovely lady" Papertrey ink

Birthday Wish

Sometimes you get an idea and the execution is better than you expected, this is one of those cards, it was supposed to just be a prototype but I liked it so much it made it into a real card lol.

I do wish I had checked the centre so that there were seven candles as I like odd numbers but you can't have everything.

Pan Pastels - The final chapter

For the moment this is my final Pan Pastel card, I don't think it will be my last but it is time for a change.

I have used two crazy birds for this one and I think if I have to pick a favourite bird it is the chubby one who looks a bit like a robin, yeah definitely my favourite.

This is probably my favourite colour combo as well, the lime, turquoise, blue seems to be a theme for me and the ease with which the pan pastels blend meant that the whole card only took a few minutes, the main problem is the drying time after the fixative is applied.

Ingredients

Sentiment: "happy birthday" clearly besotted
Dies: Blueprints 13 and 2

Pan Pastels part three

This is a very different colour combo for me, I am more into cool tones but I thought a change is as good as a rest and it most certainly was.

This chubby bird is so prefect for so many occasions, I can't believe I held out so long on this trend.

Pan Pastels

I would never have thought I would enjoy pan pastels, but after trying them I think I'm hooked. I've made four cards this week alone with them and I will be posting them all over the next few days, there is a definite theme which I think after the next card might become more evident lol.

The pan pastels are so easy to blend although the fact that you don't change sponges between colours is taking me a while to get used to lol.

Hello Gorgeous

I saw this stamp on someones blog a while ago and I just knew I needed it, it wasn't easy to find and in the end it was in a shop that I use often but never thought of looking. Its not often that a stamp set is even nicer in real life but this one is, so many elegant figures and the perfect size for an a2 card to boot.

I don't own much black card and I had to raid my snippet draw to put this card together so I think I might need to purchase some more.

Cup of Joe

This card didn't end up like I thought it would but its too late now as its already posted. I stamped and paper pieced the coffee cup from the 'fresh brewed" blueprints and added some warm grey copics for shadows, I have just realised I forgot to ground the image, oh well never mind lol.

The background stamp was sitting on my desk as I have been playing with a window die and I thought the colours would go perfectly with the cup. I knew I would like the mint macaroon but not as much as I do now I own some. The embossing powder is actually "pool party" again from Stampin up but although it is more blue in colour it is less noticeable in real life than on the photo.

Blossom

I had an idea for this card from the packaging on the stamp, I liked the colours they had used but I wanted a pastel palette. There was a lot of masking on this project and although it looks simple it really wasn't, in my opinion the simpler the card looks the longer it takes lol.
