Bellissima Again

Well I've used this Papermania stamp again, it is definitely my most used Papermania stamp. Even though I've used it several times I have never coloured it, I just reach for the papers and paper piece.

Its a large image for an a2 card so I don't normally add many layers or embellishments as I think this way the dress is the star of the show.

Callista loves to Craft

This is such a perfect image for a crafter although her crafty stash seems a little small lol. I coloured her ages ago and I wish I had written down the colours but I didn't, never mind I am sure I will colour her again as I have loads of crafty friends this would be perfect for.

Butterfly Medley

This card came about after seeing a challenge card by Kathy from the Daily Marker blog. She had stamped the elegant butterflies from Clearly besotted in a random pattern and coloured with copics, I was about to buy the stamps when I remembered that there was a butterfly on the free set from last year so I stamped and masked a whole bunch. I kept the colouring uniform rather than random like she did and I kind of wish I had done random now, never mind there is always the opportunity to make more.

Watercolour Roses

I don't know about anyone else but I'm loving all the soft water colouring that I'm seeing in blogland. Like everyone else I'm tempted by the zig real colour brush pens but I'm trying to be good and use what I have so I decided to see if I could use my SU markers and create a look I wanted.

I was particularly inspired by Debby Hughes and this card she made for the release of this stamp set, she manages to achieve such gorgeous soft water colouring.

I scribbled onto an acrylic block and picked up the colour with a damp brush, after I got a bit more confident I was able to add the marker direct to the paper and drag the colour out. This is definitely a look I will be trying again and it was very therapeutic to achieve.

Balloon Card

Another shaped card today, this was going to be a scalloped card but as I opened my die storage the balloon stax called out to be made into a card and as I was using a balloon image it seemed a match made in heaven. The mft balloon stax don't contain the same shape balloon descending in size order so I had to make the paper base but cutting around the inside of the die by hand. As I was making it I kept thinking this needs cloud paper and now I kind of wished I had listened to my inner voice, oh well there is always next time.

I had to make a matching envelope and was presently surprised to find this is almost a 4-bar card size so I think I might make more of this size in the future as its uber cute.

Catherine Nibbling Chocolate

I do like these new type of Stamping Bella's they are so much fun to colour although those skinny legs and arms are still a pain. In case anyone is a new visitor or an old one who has forgotten I have an addiction to chocolate, not just the lovely melt in the mouth kind but also images, sentiments, papers anything with chocolate in the title and I have to get it, so it will come as no surprise to see I bought this stamp lol.

The papers are also a favourite and although I haven't used them in a while they are still my go to ones. It does make for a more busy card than Ive made in a while but I like the bright colours and they compliment the chocolate so well.

Amanda is Awesome

Now when you see an awesome stamp and then realise not only is she called awesome but she has your name as well it kind of seems wrong not to buy her, so buy her and a few of her friends I did lol.

I coloured her ages ago so I hope my list is correct, I knew whose card she was for but no idea how to put it together until my good friend Kay made a card using the sketch and it was perfect.

Wishing You Luck

One of my play day friends has just started a new job and I wanted to wish her well. This is my go to image for this occasion and I have used one of her favourite colours too.

I wanted to do a different background than just patterned papers so I cut a mask using crealies circle and inkadinkado masking paper then used the heidi swapp circle stencil to create a pattern, I don't have the matching SU ink but the MFT "tropical teal" is close enough.

Another get well wish

This is the second card I made and it does look very much like the other one as I made them at the same time using almost the same supplies.

I said in my previous post I should make a few of these but I think after making two in a row I might leave it a while.

A get well wish

Quite a few of my friends need get well wishes at the moment and for me there is no better way of showing I am thinking of them than a card.

The first card I made is for a young lady who has had an operation and this image seemed perfect for her, I used a tried and tested card layout and as the papers were already on my deck it came together very quickly.

I keep saying I should have a stockpile of those needed quickly, difficult to make cards but I never seem to get around to it.
